Some young talented artists' works that we are featuring include Dandi's new works Dog Series and Boy's Best Friend that are reflecting emotional bonding between a little boy and his dog. The interaction between the two will captivate viewers to wonder what the story is behind the paintings. Buddy Siswanto in his painting also features a colorful spotted dog with a spiky collar. We also have a piece by Guntur Timur titled Fish, and Bukan Sang Pemburu (not a hunter) by Iskandar Y.S. First of all, it is clear that the art market is becoming increasingly segmented: while there were overlaps, it was clear that our bidders today are "decided" in their tastes. Secondly but perhaps more importantly, collectors have become more and more selective in choosing the pieces on which they bid. The recent surge in prices of Indonesian Art, especially the contemporary pieces, did not cause people to shy away from art collecting, but instead incited even the usually more timid young collectors to get on with the action and collect more aggressively.
