Welcome to Sidharta Auctioneer’s Asian Modern Fine Art auction at The Jakarta Art Hub. This month, we are delighted to present 83 lots that celebrate the diversity of vision, cultural heritage, and innovation across Indonesian and Asian modern art.
The catalog opens with a special selection from the estate of Prijono Maruto (1937–2019), an architect, urban planner, and painter whose collection reflects his deep ties with Indonesia’s art world. Featured here are 8 lots that include works by Kusnadi, Setyoko Hadi Sutanto "Tanto", Harijadi Sumadidjaja, Chan Tandjung, Otto Djaya, Amrus Natalsya, and Sindudarsono Sudjojono.
This month’s highlights include works by Awiki, Trubus Soedarsono, Jeihan Sukmantoro, Sudarso, Sutopo, Abas Alibasjah, Wayan Sadia,Asri Nugroho, I Nyoman Masriadi, Umi Dachlan, Zaini, Nasirun, and Djoko Pekik. Together, they reflect the richness of Indonesian modern art, spanning decades and styles. In addition, this season also features contemporary voices such as S. Teddy, Rosid, Dede Eri Supria, Saepul Bahri, Muhammad AK, Entang Wiharso, and RE Hartanto, whose works bring bold perspectives and new energy to the auction. Alongside the fine art selection, we are also pleased to present a number of antiques and collectibles that add further depth to the auction.
