Welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, Sidharta Auctioneer is presenting Islamic Modern Art Auction that is enriched with collectible antiques. In the spirit of inclusiveness and diversity that have shaped Indonesia, we embrace various artists of different cultural background and artworks for this auction. For the past one year, some of us have been blessed to be able to contemplate. Artists own gifted talents to express what they see, think and feel through visual, colour as well as three dimensions, such as sculptures. We wish to share with you, not only Arabic calligraphy and Ka’bah but also spiritual journey and self-reflection through arts from the artist perspectives.
The spiritual journeys of the following artists, Agus "Baqul" Purnomo, Ahmad Sadali, Amrus Natalsya, Metta Pims, Nana Banna, Rob Pearce, Setyo Irmanto, Suprobo and many more can be obtained from this auction. Upscaled materials such as woods and papers of used books are crafted to form artistic shapes with deep meanings and prayers.
The collectible works of wood works of furniture, cabinet, table, silver bowl and ceramic plates get into the collections for this sale. The multi purposes of these items are usually utilised to store Quran, books, prayer cloak and mat (sajadah) in the prayer room.
