This typical work by Wahyu Gunawan shows a little girl in a garden of flowers. It is a color-
ful painting, with reds: r flowers all around, the girl’s red hat, her red scarf; black: the girl’s
dress, her shoes and her hair; greens: the leaves of the grass and other plants in the garden;
and greyish blues of the sky, within which we can finally see the little bird which has been
painted yellow, in stark contrast with the sky. Of course the bird is also the focus of the girl’s
attention, who has just released it from its cage.
