Dear Art Collectors & Lovers,
Like most Asian paintings, Indonesian paintings in particular have their own unique charm and draw subtle attentions to art collectors and lovers in the region and to those who have sentimental connections with the Indonesian culture. Sidharta Auctioneer Asian Modern Fine Art is a rejuvenation of our previous Fine Art auction. It will allow us to connect with a wider range of collectors and to be more relatable through different genres of fine art.
This auction carries 43 out of 85 paintings selected for 2020 Asian Modern Fine Art auction series that initially was scheduled to be auctioned all at once in early April 2020. We have split the collections into two: a half will be auctioned in this August and another half will be in September 2020. You can do #BidFromHome with any methods you prefer; we do timed than live online auction, as well as direct phone or written bids.
Among the selections we have the paintings of late Salim, who is known as an Indonesian artist who lived in Paris since 1957. His paintings are partially featured in this auction and also shown on the cover. The lots are also enriched by two artists, Mochtar Sarman’s chromadepth 3D - Rylo Ken and Kencut’s My Choice, who have set their foot in today’s myriad of Indonesia modern art landscape. Srietje Membaca by the late Indonesia’s maestros S. Sudjojono and Trubus’ Seascape will conclude of this auction.
I encourage you taking an imaginary artistic journey to get closer with the artists and their artworks through the narration of our curator Amir Sidharta.
